1 Corinthians 9:22-23 (Paul)
22To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.  23I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.

This is “the story” of Paso Robles Bible Church. In the late 1990’s, Atascadero Bible Church began sending their Pastors and Elders on missions trips around the world. While on a trip to Romania, missions pastor Ron Smith was asked how many churches his home church had planted. You see, multiplying and planting churches is the heart cry of European, Eastern block countries; the greatest way to evangelize and make disciples. Pastor Ron was somewhat embarrassed when he had to say “none.”

He came back with a new vision for church planting, beginning here in the north county. Pastor Dave Rusco and his wife Donna, and three other couples began the first church plant on Parkhill Road, in Santa Margarita in April of 2000. After 17 months, Dave turned the church over to Pastor Will Hesch.

Atascadero Bible Church, with Dave as the leader, began praying and planning for their second church plant. After much prayer and research, the Elders at Atascadero Bible Church selected the city of Paso Robles to plant their next church. It was found that Paso Robles was the fastest growing community in the county, and was projected to be so for many years to come. Because of the lack of churches on the east side of Paso Robles, and since the east side is where a majority of  the growth would be taking place, the leadership at ABC decided the east side of Paso Robles would be a great area for their next church plant.

A Leadership Team of 13 individuals began praying and meeting regularly together.  The search for a meeting location began. Over a period of several months, 22 locations were looked at and all of them were closed doors. We then found a warehouse structure under construction on Golden Hill Road which also just happened to be a great location. This door opened for us and we began the process of obtaining the necessary permits to turn this warehouse into God’s house.  Many months and four revisions later to our Architects plans, from the Planning Department, the cost for completing the work went so high that we began to search for another location. That’s when the builder, Newlin Hastings and his contractor Keith Belmont stepped in. With their help, we were able to revise our plans with city approval and to complete the work with the help and giving hearts of the people who comprise Paso Robles Bible Church, after several months at the Mid-State Fairgrounds.

We invite you to join this first generation of people who are building the foundation of a new church called the Paso Robles Bible Church. We desire to see lives transformed by the Gospel, strong and loving families, faithful marriages and caring relationships. We desire PRBC to be a community of faith where everyone treasures Jesus Christ, joyfully embracing Him and His redemptive purpose in the world.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
